In anticipation of today’s Ubuntu release, we’ve released a new BigV CLI client: version 0.9.1-1920.
It’s an interim bug fix release. Notably, it installs successfully on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) and also on Debian jessie (the testing distribution). Additionally, the client will no longer use SSLv3 to talk to Bytemark, in favour of TLS1.0 (now) or TLS1.2 (next week).
How to get the new BigV command-line client
If you don’t already have the BigV CLI installed, you can download the right one for your preferred OS.
If you’re a Linux user with a previous version already installed, simply update your OS software:
$ sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
$ sudo yum update
If you’re using Windows or Mac OS, you’ll need to download the updated client manually. The links below will always retrieve the latest version:
We’ll have another release with a few new features soon 🙂
By the way, have you tried our new web control panel for BigV?
