Introducing a Bright New Identity for Bytemark

Bytemark was founded back in 2002 and over the last 16 years, we have custom-built our own hosting platform which has continually evolved, adding new services and features to ensure we always offer you the fast, flexible and reliable hosting that you need. But, despite constantly developing our tech, our look as a company has remained largely the same.

This is why we are excited to announce that Bytemark will be introducing new branding by the end of 2018! 

What does that mean?

Over the next few months you will notice some changes to the look of our websites, social media profiles, and anywhere else you may be used to seeing Bytemark.

We’ve been working with the brilliant York-based design agency, United by Design, to create a new logo, typography, colour palette and other collateral assets to reflect who we are as a company now and what we want to provide going forward in an increasingly cloud-native focused industry.

These new elements will be implemented gradually until we are fully rebranded. Usability will be at the forefront of all of this, so we won’t be adding complex new navigation or unnecessary graphics just because they ‘look nice’. Everything we do will be about making Bytemark even better.

Why are these changes needed?

We are proud of how Bytemark has grown over time and want our branding to realign with who we are as a company now.

Our core values remain the same, we want to create innovative and well-engineered hosting solutions whilst maintaining honesty and transparency with our users. After consulting with our colleagues about how they thought Bytemark was portraying itself and whether that accurately reflected our goals and objectives, we realised that we could do a better job of presenting these values.

This led to the decision that a rebrand would be best for the company going forward and that it would allow us to connect with you and communicate that we are more than just a hosting provider.

Will this change how I use Bytemark?

In short, no. Nothing is changing about the way we work, just the way we look! All of the same people are still here working to make the service the best it can be, you can still manage your account in Panel and the support team will still be available to help you out with any questions you might have. Existing servers will continue to work in the same way and adding or upgrading a server will still be quick and simple.

What’s next for Bytemark Cloud?

So what does all of this mean for Bytemark Cloud? During, and after, the rebranding process our engineering team are continuing to develop and improve our platform.

Following the recent launches of our Docker integration and Load Balancing features, there are exciting plans to continue enhancements in these areas making them quicker and easier to use. This will form part of our overall goal to develop new ways to enable you to make the most of Cloud Native technologies.
